Town of West Turin NY

The Town of West Turin, established in 1830, is located in southern Lewis County, New York. It includes the historic communities of Constableville, Lyons Falls, and Collinsville and was first settled in the late 1700s by pioneers and later by immigrants from Europe. Lyons Falls became a center of industry with the arrival of the canal, railroad, and paper mill, while Constableville served as an early hub of trade. Though manufacturing, timbering, and farming have declined over time, the area remains rich in history and small-town charm. Today, West Turin offers a quiet, rural lifestyle with growing opportunities in tourism and recreation.
